A clean kitchen brings comfort not only to you but also to the whole family. Today, I’m going to talk about how to make a tidy kitchen and storage tips. So let’s get started.
Start with What You Truly Need
For a tidy kitchen, there must be a lot of storage space or few items. Even if you have a large storage space, if you have a lot of things, it can be difficult to manage them — such as forgetting where you put them. So it would be better to own the things you absolutely need, right? Aren’t there a lot of kitchen appliances that are sitting there even though you don’t use them?
If it’s old or broken and hasn’t been used in more than a year, declutter it.
Consistent Organization Over Instant Perfection
Do you believe the saying ‘cleaning up in one go’? If that were possible, it would be magic, right? As you live, your household items will increase and things will need to be replaced, so you need to organize them consistently.
I cleaned out the sink at the beginning of this year, and after 7 months, I can see things that need to be decluttered. I have a lot of things, so I decluttered a lot of it and didn’t buy anything, but I still feel like I have a lot of stuff.
Minimal Living for Maximum Efficiency
Since we’re a family of four, we can’t have less stuff than a family of two or one, right? I don’t want my household items to increase, so instead of purchasing storage items, I use recycled materials for storage.
I end up keeping things I bought because I don’t want to throw them away, but I like recycling items because they can be easily disposed of — so my household items don’t increase.
Declutter Recyclables Too
If you stock up on more recyclables than you need just to use them one day, they will only take up space and become messy. So please declutter unnecessary recyclables like empty bottles, etc.
Organizing with What You Already Have
I threw out the milk carton organizer that I had been using for over two years and organized the seasoning container. If you put something you use frequently in the front, it’s convenient to use.
The packaging container took up a lot of space, so I just took out the contents and stored them. Cut the milk jug handle and attach it with a hot glue gun to make a great storage tool.
It still seems like there’s a lot to declutter. This is a space where I need to consume things to reduce my burden, so I need to consume them diligently.
Reflect and Use Space Smartly
If you buy just what you need and only as much as you need, you can use more space, right? As I organize things, I also reflect.
If you don’t want to leave things outside, you need to use the sink cabinet space efficiently, right? In order to utilize the cabinet efficiently, I divided the space with tension rods.
These simple adjustments and Tidy Kitchen and Storage Tips make a huge difference in how your kitchen feels and functions, bringing clarity, calm, and convenience to your daily life.
