Pillows get dirt, sweat, and oil over time, which causes them to turn yellow and become less comfortable. Cleaning your pillows will keep this from happening.   1. Cotton, down and synthetic pillows are machine washable.
  2. Memory foam pillows should be hand-washed.
  3. Before you start washing your pillow, whether by machine or by hand, make sure to remove the case or cover.

1. Remove the casing:

Remove any pillowcases or fakes that you have on your pillow right now. Some pillows include additional zip-on cases, which should be removed and washed separately from the pillow’s body.

2. Put your pillows in the washing machine:

Trust that washing pillows in the washing machine is completely safe, especially for feather pillows. To keep the washer balanced and the pillows from being flung around too much, try washing at least two at once. Before putting your pillows in the laundry, try wiping the surface with a mixture of one part white vinegar and one part warm water if they have become yellow.
