Wooden utensils can give a vintage farmhouse look to your home and they look very aesthetic. It is  eco- friendly also. It is healthy to eat with wooden utensils. However,  they need a special kind  of maintenance and care.

Maintaining the quality of wooden spoons and utensils may seem a harculian task at first, but with some simple steps you will know how simple and easy it really is!

There are some simple steps for you on how to  care for your wooden utensils :

To  care for a wooden serving bowl, at first you should rinse it with hot water and you can use a sponge to give it a light scrub. Then  sanitize it with white vinegar. You can use two table spoons of vinegar  and wash it again with hot water. Give it another good rinse. Make sure you get the bottom as well. Then take a dish rag and make sure it become dry completely.

You can also boil some water and soak your wooden spoons for about thirty minutes to an hour. Then you will see how dirty your kitchen utensils really are. You have to be careful  not to over soak your wooden spoons and also make sure to oil them afterwards.

In another way,  soak your wooden spoons in boiling water and add some lemon juice and some baking soda. Keep it for thirty minutes. Then immediately clean it with your cleaning sponge.

You should store your wooden utensils in a cool and dry place and Keep it away from  direct sunlight. You can use baking soda and lemon to remove stains. Polish them with olive oil after every three or five washes.

Wooden utensils are perfect for warm and cold meals. You should not use them with extremely  hot water or food. You can hard wash them with soapy lukewarm water. You should not soak them for long periods while washing. You should not use it in the refrigerator,  microwave, oven or in dishwasher.

Winter months draw moisture  from the air such as your skin and the wooden products . Do not place it in direct sunlight  from windows. To prevent cracking, the wood requires moisture. Change positions to prevent wood from fading out.

Caring for our wooden utensils  is something we usually don’t do.

At first wash your utensils  thoroughly with warm water, soap,  white vinegar and bi- carbonate of soda.

Then dry for forty five minutes in the sun.

And next oiling. Use vegetable oil to the utensils and see the difference  in your own eyes.

Wooden kitchenware needs to be properly seasoned. To ensure that the cleaning procedure should be properly maintained. At first wash the wooden products  using baking soda and vinegar.T hen smoothing of the products can be done using sandpaper. And next seasoning  can be done using coconut oil. The process should be repeated on a regular basis – preferably once in a month .
