A Cozy Day for Refrigerator Cleaning and Organization

It’s cloudy this morning. It’s cold, so let’s clean and organize the refrigerator at home on a day like today. Put perishable food in the refrigerator or icebox, and let’s start refrigerator cleaning and organization in earnest now.

Step 1: Start with a Deep Clean

Vinegar water has a sterilizing effect, so it is effective for cleaning the refrigerator. Give the sticky shelves and drawers a bubble bath for a while. After drying off, prepare to refill the refrigerator.

Step 2: Use Shelf Organizers for Better Access

Have you tried using a shelf in the refrigerator that can separate the space? If you stack on top of each other and store them, it is not convenient to take them out to eat. This way, it is easy to take out, and you can see what is left at a glance.

Step 3: Temperature-Zone Smart Storage

Besides the door, the top shelf is the coolest place in the fridge. So it’s good for storing food that doesn’t go bad or doesn’t need to be recooked.
The main part of the refrigerator is the middle layer where the temperature is kept most constant. So I keep the side dishes I usually eat here.
It is best to store dairy products like milk in the bottom compartment, where the temperature is the coolest. In this way, it would not go bad quickly and can be kept fresh longer.

Step 4: Try Space-Saving Accessories

The rotating tray is stable to use because of the suction on the bottom. The rotating tray makes it easy to pick out the necessary items and take them out.

Wouldn’t the start of organizing be dividing items by type? It is convenient and neat to organize by category in containers with handles. A container with a partition that can be removed and put on is more useful than you think. It helps organize small snacks so they don’t move. It’s especially great for arranging yogurt.

Step 5: Smart Egg Storage

It is best to store eggs in the paper box in which they are packed. But it is inconvenient for me to take out, so I use a drawer-type storage box. If you move them to another container, a container with a lid or an airtight container is good because eggs absorb the smell of food in the refrigerator. It is said that it is better to store it in the middle shelf where the temperature changes are the least.

Step 6: Organizing with Everyday Items

If you use the shelf like before in the space on top, you can put two more side dishes.
If you use a rubber band to divide the compartments, you can store the bagged products that easily fall over due to a lack of strength.
If you recycle a milk carton, it can be easily transformed into a cheese stick container.
Use a paper towel soaked in water and try it on leftover cabbage.
If you store the containers of vegetables upright, it’s easy to take it out.

Final Tip: Don’t Overfill the Fridge

To keep your fridge neat and clean, you need to empty it when needed and not overfill it. In this way, there will be less smell in the refrigerator, and you won’t have to worry too much when cleaning it.
