Happiness and Reflection

I have finally finished the work I had been doing for a few weeks in the mornings. Since I couldn’t take care of the plants during this time, the first thing I did was quickly water them.

After that, I went to IKEA to buy something. These days, a lot of furniture in dark colors catches my eye. It’s such a pretty color. I noted down some items I liked and then went for an early dinner. Let me introduce what I bought.

Today, I found some great items at the Resource Circulation Hub. As soon as I saw one particular item, I thought it would look perfect in the kitchen. It was a returned product, so I managed to buy it at a price even lower than the sale price. It’s an instrument for hanging a frame I had purchased earlier. I’ll tighten the screws on the ceiling molding to hang it.

Unfortunately, the kitchen molding turned out to be too thick for installation, so I decided to install it in my room instead. To ensure stability, I’ll secure the back of the frame with a lid so it doesn’t shake. Now, it’s fixed well.

I also bought a basket made of jute, woven in a traditional way. It’s a versatile piece that looks good for storing almost anything. The fact that it’s environmentally friendly and exudes warmth makes it even more appealing. To top it off, I bought it at a 70% discount, And my happiness is increasing.

Although I initially planned to buy only one mat, I ended up purchasing two. I’m thinking of using the pink one in the kitchen and placing the brown-yellow mat by my bedside for the colder months.

Browsing through IKEA’s gardening supplies is always fun. This time, I picked up a high-quality iron hanging pot. To give it a playful touch, I decorated it with Totoro, making it look like a hot air balloon. It adds a whimsical charm to my space.

As the day winds down, it’s time for meditation. There was a time when I was overwhelmed by anxiety and sadness, constantly feeling unsatisfied. This led to signs of physical and emotional strain. Fortunately, I’m now on the path to overcoming it, and meditation has been one of my greatest aids.

Focusing on my breathing helps me let go of intrusive thoughts and feel connected to my surroundings. It’s a grounding practice that has brought peace to my life.

After IKEA, I went to Aladdin Used Bookstore to pick up a book recommended by a friend. I tend to read books that align with my interests, but this time I decided to explore other bestsellers. It felt wonderful to relax and immerse myself in reading.

Before heading home, I stopped by a cafe for a quick refreshment. Once back, I brewed some warm tea to set the tone for a restful night’s sleep.

This day reminded me of the joy in small accomplishments, the beauty of mindful shopping, and the importance of taking time to care for oneself.

A fulfilling day of shopping, decorating, and self-care, ending with happiness.
